이재명 대통령이 28일 국세청의 세금 체납자 해외 은닉 재산 추적 활동 관련해 "조세 정의는 매우 중요한 가치"라고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 엑스(X·구 트위터)에 "국회의원을 버리고 국세청장을 맡아준 임광현 청장 열일에 감사하다"며 이같이 적었다.
앞서 전날 국세청은 지난해 7월 이후 총 5건(외국인 3·내국인 2, 339억 원)의 체납자 해외 재산을 환수했다고 전한 바 있다.
임 청장도 이날 엑스에 "더는 국경이 세금 회피 보호막이 돼선 안 된다"고 적었다.
