Yoon Young-ju, Candidate for Boseong County Governor, Announces 3rd Pledge: ‘Boseong 1 Trillion Won Tourism Belt Project’

"Opening an Era of 20 Million Annual Tourists and 1 Trillion Won in Tourism Revenue by the 4th Year of My Term" - Linked to Youth Job Creation through the Establishment of Three Regional Tourism Belts and the Boseong Youth Tourism Association

(Boseong = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-su = On the 29th, Yoon Young-ju, an independent candidate for Boseong County Governor (and former Deputy Governor of Jindo), announced the ‘Boseong 1 Trillion Won Tourism Belt Project’ as his third pledge, which embodies a vision for Boseong’s future economic growth.

Candidate Yoon expressed a strong ambition, stating, "I will revitalize 'stay-type tourism'—where visitors eat, sleep, and enjoy themselves—rather than simply passing through," and adding, "I will definitely open an era of 20 million annual tourists and 1 trillion won in tourism revenue by the fourth year of my term." The core of this pledge is the creation of a "Three Major Regional Tourism Belt" utilizing Boseong's unique natural and cultural resources.

The plan envisions fostering global tea ceremony culture and aesthetically pleasing accommodation and café spaces in the tea plantation region; establishing a marine tourism experience town in the Hoecheon and Deungryang Bay areas for the coastal region, while simultaneously remodeling Yulpo Solbat Beach; and creating synergy in the history region by linking the Beolgyo Taebaek Mountains Literature Museum, Cockle Street, and the nearby Suncheon Nakaneupseong Fortress.

In addition, Candidate Yoon plans to maximize synergy by introducing diverse "convergent tourism content," including energy tourism, wellness tourism, rural sixth-industry tourism, attracting K-content filming locations, and the MICE convention industry.

Notably, he also presented measures to create jobs for local youth. Candidate Yoon promised to foster a youth-centered tourism industry by establishing the "Boseong Youth Tourism Corporation" and entrusting it with the operation of major local tourism facilities. In addition, the plan is to usher in an era of regional tourism by developing a "4-night, 5-day Namdo stay-type tourism course" linked with neighboring cities and counties such as Goheung, Jangheung, and Suncheon.

Given the massive budget required, he presented concrete feasibility regarding funding, stating, "We will minimize the burden on the county budget by actively utilizing the attraction of private investment, securing government grant projects, and the Tourism Innovation Fund."

Meanwhile, Candidate Yoon Young-ju, whose administrative capabilities have been recognized through his roles as the Head of the Innovation City Promotion Team at the Jeonnam Provincial Government and the Deputy Governor of Jindo, is stepping up his efforts to win votes by announcing his first pledge, the "payment of Sunshine Pensions," and his second pledge, the "achievement of 3 trillion won in income from agriculture, livestock, and fisheries."
