(사)자연보호 단양군협의회, 시루섬 일원 환경정화 활동 진행

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=사단법인 자연보호 단양군협의회는 시루섬 일원에서 환경정화 활동을 실시했다고 27일 밝혔다.

이번 활동은 장마철 쓸려 내려온 부유물과 쓰레기 등으로 오염된 시루섬의 자연환경을 깨끗하게 보전하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 환경정화 활동에는 단양군 지질관광협의회, 단양군 농촌신활력플러스사업 추진단, 단양군 지역자율방재단이 함께 참여해 시루섬 주변에 방치된 쓰레기와 부유물을 수거하며 청정한 생태환경 조성에 힘을 보탰다.

(사)자연보호 단양군협의회는 지난 17일 단양군 지질관광협의회와 단양 세계지질공원 지질명소 환경정화 활동을 위한 업무협약을 체결한 바 있다.

협의회는 이번 활동을 시작으로 환경오염에 취약한 사각지대를 지속적으로 발굴해 환경정화 활동을 추진하고, 주민과 관광객이 함께 참여할 수 있는 캠페인 등을 통해 청정단양 실현을 위한 다양한 활동을 이어갈 계획이다.
