이번 협약에 따라 친환경 농자재(유기질 비료 및 상토) 제조업체인 기산바이오텍㈜는 초동농공단지 내에 약 120억 원을 투자해 생산시설을 구축할 계획이다.

시는 이번 투자 유치를 통해 친환경 산업 기반을 강화하고, 지역 내 생산 유발 및 부가가치 창출은 물론 신규 고용을 창출하는 등 지역경제 활성화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

밀양시 관계자는 “밀양시에 투자를 결정해 준 기산바이오텍㈜에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며 “기업이 지역에 안정적으로 정착해 지속 가능한 성장을 이어갈 수 있도록 필요한 행정지원을 적극 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
