(브레이크뉴스 광주·전남) 이학수 기자=더불어민주당이 오는 6월 3일 치러지는 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 광주광역시와 전라남도 기초단체장 선거 후보 공천을 모두 마무리하며 본격적인 본선 체제에 돌입했다.
더불어민주당 전라남도당 선거관리위원회는 지난 26일 실시된 제6차 경선 결과 발표를 통해 화순군수 최종 후보로 임지락 예비후보가 선출됐다고 밝혔다. 이로써 전남 지역 22개 시·군 기초단체장 후보 배치가 모두 완료됐다.
앞서 민주당 전남도당은 도내 주요 시장 후보로 ▲목포시장 강성휘 ▲여수시장 서영학 ▲순천시장 손훈모 ▲나주시장 윤병태 ▲광양시장 정인화 예비후보를 확정한 바 있다.
군수 후보군으로는 ▲담양군수 박종원 ▲곡성군수 조상래 ▲구례군수 장길선 ▲고흥군수 공영민 ▲보성군수 김철우 ▲장흥군수 김 성 ▲강진군수 차영수 ▲해남군수 명현관 ▲영암군수 우승희 ▲무안군수 김 산 ▲함평군수 이남오 ▲영광군수 장세일 ▲장성군수 김한종 ▲완도군수 우홍섭 ▲진도군수 이재각 ▲신안군수 박우량 예비후보가 공천장을 거머쥐었다.

광주광역시당 역시 5개 자치구 구청장 후보를 확정하며 전열을 가다듬었다. 광주 지역은 행정의 연속성을 강조하는 현직 구청장들과 시의회 출신의 새로운 인물들이 조화를 이뤘다. 구청장 후보로는 ▲동구 임 택 ▲서구 김이강 ▲남구 김병내 ▲광산구 박병규 예비후보가 확정됐으며, 북구에는 신수정 예비후보가 이름을 올렸다.

지역 정가 관계자는 "공천 과정에서의 잡음을 최소화하고 당원들의 결집력을 얼마나 끌어올리느냐가 본선 승패의 관건이 될 것"이라며 "특히 전남 일부 지역의 무소속 돌풍을 어떻게 잠재울지가 민주당의 최대 숙제"라고 분석했다.
더불어민주당은 조만간 선거대책위원회를 구성하고 지역별 맞춤형 공약을 발표하며 6.3 지방선거 압승을 위한 본격적인 선거 운동에 나설 계획이다.
