참가 대상은 국내에서 신약 개발을 진행 중인 바이오 스타트업이다. 접수는 5월 26일부터 7월 31일까지 진행되며, 머크 라이프사이언스 공식 홈페이지를 통해 신청할 수 있다.

기술력·상용화 가능성 평가…“글로벌 경쟁력 확보 지원”
심사는 머크 라이프사이언스 바이오 공정 전문가들로 구성된 위원단이 맡는다. 기술 혁신성, 연구개발 역량, 성장 가능성, 상용화 잠재력 등을 종합 평가할 예정이다.
올해는 스타트업 지원 규모도 확대했다. 선정 기업 4곳에는 총 3억7천만 원 상당의 제품과 서비스가 제공된다.
대상인 ‘Merck Grand Award’ 수상 기업에는 약 1억8천만 원 규모의 지원이 제공되며, ‘Merck First-in-Class Award’는 약 1억 원, ‘Merck Best-in-Class Award’는 약 4,200만 원, ‘Merck Innovation Award’는 약 2,100만 원 규모로 각각 지원된다.
수상 기업들은 머크 라이프사이언스의 프로세스 솔루션 제품과 기술 지원뿐 아니라 K-바이오랩허브 멤버십 프로그램 참여 기회도 함께 제공받게 된다. 시상식은 오는 10월 30일 열릴 예정이다.

Evaluation of technological capabilities and commercialization potential… “Support for securing global competitiveness”
The evaluation will be conducted by a committee composed of bioprocess experts from Merck Life Sciences. They plan to comprehensively evaluate technological innovation, R&D capabilities, growth potential, and commercialization potential.
The scale of support for startups has also been expanded this year. Products and services worth a total of 370 million won will be provided to the four selected companies.
The winner of the 'Merck Grand Award' will receive support worth approximately 180 million won, while the 'Merck First-in-Class Award' will receive about 100 million won, the 'Merck Best-in-Class Award' will receive about 42 million won, and the 'Merck Innovation Award' will receive about 21 million won.
The winning companies will receive Merck Life Sciences' process solution products and technical support, as well as the opportunity to participate in the K-Bio Lab Hub membership program. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on October 30.

技術力・商用化可能性評価… 「グローバル競争力確保支援」
審査は、メルクライフサイエンスバイオプロセスの専門家で構成された委員団が務める。技術革新性、研究開発能力、成長可能性、商用化の可能性などを総合評価する予定だ。
今年はスタートアップ支援規模も拡大した。選定企業４カ所には計３億７千万ウォン相当の製品とサービスが提供される。
対象の「Merck Grand Award」受賞企業には約1億8千万ウォン規模の支援が提供され、「Merck First-in-Class Award」は約1億ウォン、「Merck Best-in-Class Award」は約4,200万ウォン、「Merck Innovation Award」は約2,100万ウォン。

评估工作将由默克生命科学公司的生物工艺专家组成的委员会进行。他们计划对技术创新、研发能力、增长潜力和商业化潜力进行全面评估。

Évaluation des capacités technologiques et du potentiel de commercialisation… « Soutien à la garantie de la compétitivité mondiale »
L’évaluation sera menée par un comité composé d’experts en bioprocédés de Merck Life Sciences. Ce comité prévoit d’évaluer de manière exhaustive l’innovation technologique, les capacités de R&D, le potentiel de croissance et le potentiel de commercialisation.
Le soutien apporté aux startups a également été renforcé cette année. Des produits et services d'une valeur totale de 370 millions de wons seront fournis aux quatre entreprises sélectionnées.
Le lauréat du « Grand Prix Merck » recevra un soutien d'une valeur d'environ 180 millions de wons, tandis que le « Prix Merck de Première Classe » recevra environ 100 millions de wons, le « Prix Merck de Meilleure Classe » environ 42 millions de wons et le « Prix Merck de l'Innovation » environ 21 millions de wons.
Les entreprises lauréates recevront les produits et solutions de procédés de Merck Life Sciences, ainsi qu'un soutien technique et la possibilité de participer au programme d'adhésion K-Bio Lab Hub. La cérémonie de remise des prix aura lieu le 30 octobre.
