【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군새마을회가 지난 7월 14일부터 8월 14일까지 32일간 다리안관광지 일원에서 전개한 ‘다리안환경안내소 및 피서지문고’ 활동을 성황리에 마무리했다.
이번 현장 봉사활동에는 새마을지도자단양군협의회, 새마을부녀회, 새마을문고 회원들이 힘을 모았다. 단양읍과 매포읍 등 지역 내 8개 읍·면 봉사자들은 매일 5명씩 순번제로 참여해 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 근무했으며, 운영 기간 총 160명의 연인원이 피서객 편의 증진에 앞장섰다.
우수도서 3,500여 권을 갖춘 피서지문고는 자연 속에서 독서와 휴식을 함께 즐길 수 있는 공간으로 자리매김했다. 운영 기간 동안 피서객 700여 명이 문고를 찾아 독서 활동을 즐기며 큰 호응을 보였다.
환경안내소에서는 스마트폰 무료 충전 서비스, 비상 구급약 지급, 관광 정보 안내, 미아보호소 운영 등 휴양객을 위한 밀착형 편의를 다각도로 지원했다.
아울러 봉사자들은 다리안관광지 주변 정화 활동을 비롯해 행락 질서 준수 계도, 일회용품 줄이기 캠페인을 적극 전개하며 깨끗하고 안전한 휴양지 환경을 만드는 데 이바지했다. 착한 가격업소 이용과 친절한 맞이 문화를 알리는 활동을 병행해 건전한 관광 풍토 조성에도 힘을 실었다.
이와 함께 두 차례 진행된 키링 만들기 공예 체험에는 54명이 참여해 가족 단위 방문객들에게 색다른 즐거움을 제공했다.
