【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군 청소년홍보단 2기가 지난 24일부터 26일까지 2박 3일간 경북 안동시와 충북 단양군 일원을 오가며 양 지역의 문화와 역사를 알리는 교류 행사를 마쳤다.
인구감소지역 청소년성장지원사업으로 마련된 이번 행사는 단양군 청소년들이 안동의 역사 문화 현장을 직접 체험하고, 단양을 방문한 안동시 청소년들에게 지역 관광명소와 유산을 소개하는 상호 교류 방식으로 추진됐다.
일정 첫날인 24일부터 25일까지 단양군 청소년홍보단은 안동을 방문해 연미사와 한국문화테마파크 등 주요 문화 명소를 탐방했다. 단양 청소년들은 안동의 전통·유교문화를 체험하며 문화·관광 콘텐츠를 살피고, 이를 청소년 시각의 지역 홍보에 접목할 수 있는 다양한 방안을 모색했다.
이어 25일부터 26일까지는 안동시 청소년들이 단양을 방문했다. 단양군 청소년홍보단원들은 직접 가이드로 나서 도담삼봉, 만천하스카이워크, 다누리아쿠아리움 등 지역 대표 관광지를 소개하며 단양의 자연경관과 문화 자원을 알렸다.
참가 청소년들은 단순 방문에 그치지 않고 본인이 거주하는 지역을 직접 설명하고 안내하는 과정에 주도적으로 참여하면서 지역에 대한 애향심과 자긍심을 고취했다. 더불어 양 지역의 관광 자원을 비교·교류하며 지역의 가치를 재발견하고 홍보 활동에 필요한 기획력과 소통 능력을 길렀다.
단양군 관계자는 청소년들이 서로의 지역을 체험하고 안내하는 과정을 통해 지역을 깊이 이해하는 계기가 됐을 것이라며, 향후 타 지자체와의 교류를 확대해 청소년들이 넓은 안목을 갖춘 지역 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.
