Goesan County Launches Signature Campaign for Additional Selection in Rural Basic Income Pilot Project

Goesan County, North Chungcheong Province, announced on the 27th that it will conduct a signature campaign for its residents until May 7th with the goal of being selected for the additional application process for the Rural Basic Income pilot project.

On the 24th, the county set up a signature booth at the "Sosu Spring Wild Greens Festival" held in Sosu-myeon and encouraged participation by collecting signatures from festival visitors.

The Rural Basic Income is a system that provides a fixed monthly payment of 150,000 won to all county residents.

Through this additional application process, five local governments nationwide are scheduled to be selected.

The county plans to encourage resident participation through signature promotion via Eup and Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers and online promotion using Goesan County's official social media channels.

There are two ways to participate in the signature campaign.

For online participation, you can scan the QR code on promotional materials; for offline participation, you can visit a nearby Eup or Myeon office.

Shin Mi-seon, Head of the Planning and Public Relations Division, stated, "The selection for the Rural Basic Income pilot project is the first step in opening up the future of our region," and added, "I ask for your active participation in the signature campaign to change the future of our region."
