[Break News Gyeonggi South = Suwon, Reporter Lee Hyun-jun] The Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH) has established a safety cooperation network for industrial complexes in the South and North to strengthen the foundation for cooperation between construction sites and create safe workplaces free from serious accidents.
GH kicked off its first activity on this day at the Anseong 5th General Industrial Complex site, bringing together safety managers from the Anseong 5th Industrial Complex in the southern region and the Yangju Eunnam Industrial Complex and Techno Valley in the northern region.
Participants shared best practices in safety management and risk assessment results from their respective sites, solidifying a close cooperative system between the regions. GH plans to operate the network by conducting cross-visits twice a year to industrial complexes currently under construction. The vision is to disseminate site-specific safety know-how across the entire industrial complex to raise the overall standard of safety management.
In parallel, worker-participatory safety experience activities were conducted, allowing workers to directly experience accident risks and enhance their response capabilities. This training focused on practical situational response, including virtual reality (VR) accident experiences, fall and electric shock simulations, and first aid training, and was conducted at the Hyundai Engineering Construction Safety Experience Training Center. It held particular significance as it was jointly planned with the contractor for the Anseong 5th Industrial Complex, demonstrating a shared commitment to safety values between the public and private sectors.
