Twinny (Co-CEOs Youngseok Cheon, Hongseok Cheon), a company specializing in autonomous mobile robots (AMR), participated in ‘MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2026’ held in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2 to 5, at the startup exhibition hall 4YFN (4 Years From Now).
Since its establishment in 2015, Twinny has been a South Korean company researching and developing autonomous driving robot technology to maximize productivity and efficiency at industrial sites. Following the commercialization of its first AMR ‘Nargo’ and target-following robot ‘Targo,’ the company explains that it is strengthening its competitiveness by continuing the development and advancement of industrial robots capable of performing increasingly complex tasks.
Through these efforts, Twinny has accumulated references by supplying AMR solutions to numerous logistics hubs in Korea. It is reportedly expanding its customer base and increasing repurchase rates by demonstrating practical improvements in on-site logistics efficiency. Specifically, the company is accelerating its global market expansion, such as establishing a strategic partnership with the Thai robot system integration (SI) company ‘VRNJ’ last year.
At this MWC, ‘Nargo Order Picking’ was introduced as the flagship solution representing Twinny’s technical prowess. This solution automates the order-picking process, which accounts for more than 50% of the logistics center’s operating costs. Its essence is to help individual workers perform more tasks more easily and accurately in the same space by minimizing the movement required to find and transport each ordered item within the center.
In particular, Nargo Order Picking is recognized for its differentiator of adopting the so-called ‘Infra-free’ method. While conventional robots require installing separate infrastructure, such as markers or beacons, before full operation, Twinny proposes a solution that can operate immediately upon introduction.
This characteristic stems from self-location estimation technology based on 3D LiDAR sensors. This technology allows the robot to precisely identify its own location in real time and flexibly avoid dynamic obstacles, such as forklifts and workers. Accordingly, it can operate stably even in logistics center environments with high ceilings and numerous scattered obstacles.
Furthermore, it supports real-time integration with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and traffic control systems, maximizing the efficiency of cluster driving, where dozens of robots collaborate via optimal paths.
According to field data collected by Twinny, Nargo Order Picking dramatically reduces unnecessary worker movement, thereby alleviating labor intensity, and has been found to reduce the probability of picking errors by up to 90%. According to the company, this is leading to a more than twofold improvement in overall logistics processing speed.
Twinny, which delivers strong economic feasibility, is officially building global market partnerships at MWC. The goal is to establish a stable service network across Europe by identifying SI partners responsible for local robot installation and after-sales management, and to complete a global logistics robot supply chain connecting North America and Europe, based on its successful export performance in Southeast Asia.
“Twinny’s autonomous driving technology has already been recognized for its utility through strict verification at domestic and international logistics sites,” says Hongseok Cheon, CEO of Twinny. “We expect our robots, which provide immediate ROI (Return on Investment) without infrastructure construction costs, to demonstrate strong competitiveness in the European market.”
CEO Cheon added, “Through this MWC, Twinny’s ultimate goal is to present the standard for European logistics automation and leap forward as a global top-tier robot company.”
MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2026, hosted by the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association), is held at the Fira Gran Via exhibition center in Barcelona, Spain, under the theme ‘The IQ Era’. This year’s event is the largest ever, with approximately 2,900 companies from 205 countries and more than 100,000 visitors participating. Major exhibition fields encompass the entire ICT industry, including AI infrastructure, 5G Advanced, and 6G preliminary technology, mobility, and fintech. Additionally, more than 200 conference sessions involving global leaders run in parallel during the exhibition period.
