Trump Jr. Receives Signed TRUMP Hat from Chairman Chung

Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin attended a concert by his wife, Han Ji-hee. Also present at the concert was Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, highlighting his close relationship with Chairman Chung.
At around 5:30 p.m. on April 29, Chairman Chung appeared at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul to attend a concert celebrating the release of his wife Han’s debut album. He was dressed in a navy suit without a tie and a light blue striped shirt. Then, aroind at 6:40 p.m., he headed to the elevator area of Lotte Concert Hall to welcome Trump Jr.
About five minutes later, Trump Jr. arrived hand in hand with his partner, Benita Anderson. Chairman Chung shook hands with each of them in turn, then embraced them with a smile, underscoring their closeness.
Trump Jr. received a red so-called “MAGA” hat from Chairman Chung’s side, bearing the word “TRUMP.” After signing the hat, he returned it.
Also attending that day were Chung Yoo-kyung, chair of Shinsegae Co., Ltd. and Chairman Chung’s younger sister, and her husband Moon Sung-wook, chief executive officer of Shinsegae Live Shopping. Chairman Chung then headed into the concert hall after warmly greeting acquaintances.
Also spotted at the venue were TheBorn Korea CEO Baek Jong-won, who is known to be especially close to Chairman Chung, the married couple Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, and actors Lee Min-jung and Ma Dong-seok, drawing attention.
Chairman Chung and Trump Jr. are meanwhile known to share a particularly close relationship and to have helped each other in business matters as well.
In December last year, Chairman Chung met Trump Jr. at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, along with executives of 1789 Capital, the investment firm in which Trump Jr. participates, and Reflection AI founder Misha Laskin.
Afterward, Shinsegae Group announced last month that it had signed a strategic partnership memorandum of understanding with Reflection AI and would build the largest AI data center in Korea.
