Chairman Jin Holds Investor Meetings in United States, Mexico, and Canada from May 10 to 22
Jin Ok-dong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group
Shinhan Financial Group said Chairman Jin Ok-dong will conduct IR (investor relations) meetings for overseas institutional investors in the United States, Mexico and Canada from May 10 to 22.
The trip was arranged to share the group’s mid- to long-term strategy for enhancing corporate value and its direction on shareholder returns based on “Shinhan Value-Up 2.0,” which was announced last month. Following the shareholder letter sent last month, it also carries the meaning of further expanding points of contact with the market through direct communication with overseas investors.
During the trip, Chairman Jin plans to explain the group’s strengthened corporate value enhancement plan, including a shareholder return system linked to ROE and growth rate, a capital policy with improved predictability and sustainability, and a profit diversification strategy based on its global business platform.
At the same time, he also plans to share the impact of heightened volatility in global financial markets stemming from the recent prolonged war between the United States and Iran on the financial industry, as well as Shinhan Financial Group’s response direction.
Over about two weeks, Chairman Jin is scheduled to meet major global asset management firms and pension fund investors in the United States, Mexico and Canada to explain the stability and fundamentals of the Korean financial market. He will also visit local subsidiaries and branches to review the status of global business operations and regional growth strategies.
Chairman Jin Ok-dong said, “Transparent and consistent communication with investors is an important foundation for enhancing corporate value,” adding, “Shinhan Financial Group will faithfully explain to global investors a predictable and sustainable system in which the group’s growth and shareholder returns expand together, and will continue to pursue corporate value enhancement based on the market’s trust.”
