LG Innotek Q1 net profit up 167.6 pct to 229.1 bln won
SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- LG Innotek on Monday reported its first-quarter net profit of 229.1 billion won (US$155.8 million), up 167.6 percent from a year earlier.
The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 295.3 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 125.1 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 11.1 percent to 5.53 trillion won.
The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 166.3 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
