JW Pharmaceutical has focused on impaired Wnt signaling observed in these diseases and has been researching small-molecule drug candidates aimed at restoring deficient signaling pathways.
The newly disclosed DDC-02 candidate was identified using JW Pharmaceutical’s proprietary AI-based integrated drug discovery platform, JWave.
The company said genomic analysis conducted through the platform helped improve research efficiency and deepen understanding of the drug candidate’s mechanism of action.
DDC-02 is currently undergoing various safety evaluations, and JW Pharmaceutical said it plans to use the conference presentation to introduce the candidate’s research progress to the global market while exploring partnership opportunities.
A JW Pharmaceutical official said the presentation would provide an opportunity to introduce the company’s research in rare pediatric brain disorders to global industry participants.
The official added that JW Pharmaceutical plans to discuss potential collaboration and licensing opportunities during the conference.
The World Orphan Drug Congress USA is a global conference focused on rare disease drug development, bringing together pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators, patient groups and investors to discuss industry trends and new technologies.
