Royal Pains
President Trump hosted King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the White House on Monday
during their first state visit to the U.S.
Jimmy Kimmel called the king of England “one of the very few people who might actually be able to tip things even slightly in a positive direction” on Tuesday, and was impressed with the royal itinerary.
“They’re going to New York. They’re making a stop at the Wisconsin Dells. They’re going to a screening of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ at the Burbank AMC and I guess they’re wrapping it up with a Phish concert in Vegas at the Sphere.”

“Trump has a particular affinity for the royal family, and so in Washington, they pulled out all the stops to welcome the king and queen. The Department of Transportation lined the streets with what they thought was the Union Jack, the British flag. Turned out to be the Australian flag, so they had to take them all down and swap them out. Somehow they managed to screw everything up. It was a literal false flag operation going on there.”

“Yesterday, the royals joined the Trumps for afternoon tea, and boy, would I love to be a fly on the cucumber sandwiches for that conversation. No way Trump was drinking tea, right? I bet they boiled some Diet Coke and put it in a cup for him.”

“King Charles delivered a speech today before a joint session of Congress. His goal in this trip is to try to calm trans-Atlantic tensions. Trump heard this and he said, ‘The Atlantic is trans now, too?’”

“You know, there was a story today that suggested that Trump and the king may be distant cousins. They might be related, which Trump saw and posted, ‘Wow, that’s nice. I’ve always wanted to live in Buckingham Palace. I’ll talk to the king and queen about this in a few minutes.’ OK, I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to have such a formidable roommate in their home.”

“Guys, today in Washington, King Charles made a historic address to a joint session of Congress. Yeah, it was the first time a king addressed Congress since President Trump spoke at the State of the Union.”
