Huons has taken steps to strengthen its competitiveness in the ophthalmic eye drop market by developing a new eye drop for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.
Huons said Monday that it has launched Korea’s first preservative-free multi-dose olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution, Hurotadine Eye Drops 0.7%.
Huons’ once-daily ophthalmic solution, Hurotadine Eye Drops 0.7%, is the first preservative-free, multidose olopatadine hydrochloride eye drop in Korea, improving patient compliance and reducing the economic burden on patients.
Its active ingredient, olopatadine hydrochloride, is an antihistamine and stabilizes mast cells, providing fast, long-lasting relief from itching.
A Huons official stated, “The launch of this preservative-free multidose eye drop offers a new therapeutic option in clinical practice. We will continue our R&D efforts to introduce eye drops in various ingredients and formulations addressing unmet clinical needs.”
Huons added that it plans to consistently release preservative-free multidose eye drops that prioritize patient convenience and cost-effectiveness.
