CUREXO Inc. (CEO Jae Jun Lee) announced its participation in ‘KIMES 2026 (The 41st Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show),’ held at COEX in Seoul from March 19 (Thu) to 22 (Sun).

CUREXO established its foundation as a specialized medical robot company by acquiring the business division of ISS, a U.S. company that developed the hip surgery robot ‘ROBODOC’ in 2006, and the medical robot business division of Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2017. Since then, through accumulated know-how and independent R&D, the company has secured a diverse medical robot product portfolio, including the lower limb walking rehabilitation robot ‘MorningWalk S200,’ the artificial joint surgery robot ‘CUVIS-joint,’ and the spinal surgery robot ‘CUVIS-spine,’ supplying them to domestic and international medical markets.

CUREXO, which announced the surgery robot brand ‘CUVIS’ in 2020 and launched the artificial joint surgery robot ‘CUVIS-joint,’ the spinal surgery robot ‘CUVIS-spine,’ and the rehabilitation treatment robot ‘MorningWalk,’ plans to showcase these product lines at this exhibition.

According to the company, CUVIS-joint is the world’s fourth commercially successful robotic system for artificial joint surgery that automatically cuts bone during surgery. Based on CT image data, it features precise cutting, optimal alignment (cutting the bone to align the hip-knee-ankle in a straight line), and minimal bone cutting, which can reduce surgical errors, side effects, complications, the risk of re-surgery, and rehabilitation periods.

Additionally, CUVIS-spine is a robotic system for spinal surgery that guides and supports pedicle screws into accurate positions. It was emphasized that by performing surgery using software capable of surgical planning and navigation, a high-precision robotic arm, one-step surgical tools, and real-time position-tracking sensors, faster, more accurate surgery is possible compared to traditional manual surgery.

MorningWalk S200 is a walking rehabilitation robot designed to support the rapid recovery of patients with walking difficulties. The company explained that effective, simple training is possible using a footplate-based walking exercise unit and a seated weight-bearing method.

CUREXO, which established a local subsidiary in India last year, is entering countries with aging populations, such as India and Japan, as well as countries with increasing medical demand, such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Furthermore, the company plans to accelerate its overseas expansion by steadily obtaining permits in each country and participating in major medical-related academic societies and exhibitions.

Since its first session in 1980, KIMES has been a specialized exhibition for medical devices and hospital facilities, growing steadily alongside the development of the Korean medical industry. It is the largest platform where medical experts and influential buyers gather to explore the latest medical technologies and sustainable solutions. The ‘INSPIRE Special Pavilion,’ held concurrently with the KIMES 2026 exhibition, is a space where healthcare innovations converge, allowing visitors to see advanced solutions such as medical AI, digital healthcare, wearables, and data analytics in one place.
