ATsens said its wearable ECG monitoring device, AT-Patch, has surpassed cumulative exports of 53,000 units to Japan, about five years after entering the market.

AT-Patch is a patch-type electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring device designed to be attached to a patient’s chest for long-term, continuous measurement of the heart’s electrical signals. The device can continuously monitor ECG activity for up to 14 days without charging or battery replacement. Featuring an ultra-lightweight, dustproof and waterproof design, the device allows patients to continue daily activities such as showering and light exercise during monitoring.
ATsens said the achievement was driven by its partnership with Japan Life Line (JLL), which handles the import and distribution of AT-Patch in Japan. JLL is a Japanese medical device company specializing in the development and supply of cardiac-related medical devices, including catheters and defibrillators.
Through collaboration with JLL, ATsens is expanding the application of AT-Patch beyond traditional cardiology and cardiovascular medicine into non-cardiac fields such as neurosurgery. To support this effort, the company is conducting academic outreach and prescription-linked programs targeting Japanese neurosurgeons to raise awareness of the need for long-term, continuous ECG monitoring and the clinical value of AT-Patch.
“Surpassing 50,000 cumulative exports to Japan is meaningful not simply in terms of export volume, but because it demonstrates that AT-Patch has been consistently utilized in Japan’s highly regulated medical device market,” said Jeong Jong-ook, CEO of ATsens. “With institutional support now being established, including the recent introduction of reimbursement for long-term, continuous ECG monitoring in Japan, we will further strengthen cooperation with our local partner to position AT-Patch as a leading wearable ECG solution in the Japanese long-term ECG monitoring market.”
