AI 반도체 기업 퓨리오사AI가 글로벌 AI 인프라 전문가를 영입하며 해외 시장 확장에 속도를 낸다.
퓨리오사AI는 엔비디아와 멜라녹스에서 엔터프라이즈 사업과 파트너 생태계 확장을 이끌었던 찰리 푸(Charlie Foo)를 수석 자문역으로 영입했다고 밝혔다. 이번 인재 영입은 자사의 AI 반도체 RNGD(레니게이드)의 글로벌 상용화를 본격화하는 시점에서 이뤄졌다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
찰리 푸는 IBM, 브로케이드, 멜라녹스, 엔비디아 등 글로벌 기업에서 약 35년간 인프라 구축과 가속 컴퓨팅 사업을 주도해온 전문가다. 특히 엔비디아에서는 아시아태평양 및 일본 지역 엔터프라이즈 사업과 파트너 생태계 확장을 담당하며 글로벌 AI 인프라 시장 확대를 이끈 바 있다.

“성능 넘어 배치·확장”… AI 인프라 경쟁의 다음 단계
찰리 푸는 앞으로 전략적 파트너십 확대와 엔터프라이즈 고객 기반 확장, AI 인프라 생태계 구축 등 글로벌 사업 전반에 대한 자문을 맡게 된다. 퓨리오사AI는 이를 통해 RNGD의 상용화와 시장 안착을 가속화한다는 계획이다.
그는 “AI 경쟁의 핵심은 모델 성능을 넘어 이를 얼마나 효율적으로 배치하고 확장할 수 있느냐에 있다”며 “퓨리오사AI는 아키텍처와 양산 역량을 동시에 갖춘 드문 기업으로, 글로벌 시장에서 충분한 경쟁력을 갖췄다”고 평가했다.

AI semiconductor company Furiosa AI is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets by recruiting global AI infrastructure experts.
Furiosa AI announced that it has hired Charlie Foo, who led enterprise business and partner ecosystem expansion at NVIDIA and Mellanox, as a Senior Advisor. This talent acquisition is significant as it comes at a time when the company is accelerating the global commercialization of its AI semiconductor, RNGD (Renegade).
Charlie Poo is an expert who has led infrastructure building and accelerated computing businesses for approximately 35 years at global companies such as IBM, Brocade, Mellanox, and NVIDIA. In particular, at NVIDIA, he led the expansion of the global AI infrastructure market by overseeing enterprise business and the expansion of the partner ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific and Japan regions.

Charlie Poo will serve as an advisor on overall global business, including expanding strategic partnerships, broadening the enterprise customer base, and building an AI infrastructure ecosystem. Through this, Furiosa AI plans to accelerate the commercialization and market penetration of RNGD.
He stated, “The core of AI competition lies beyond model performance in how efficiently it can be deployed and scaled,” and assessed that “FuriosaAI is a rare company possessing both architecture and mass production capabilities, giving it sufficient competitiveness in the global market.”

Charlie Poo agira en tant que conseiller pour les activités mondiales de Furiosa AI, notamment en matière de développement de partenariats stratégiques, d'élargissement de la clientèle d'entreprises et de mise en place d'un écosystème d'infrastructure d'IA. Grâce à cela, Furiosa AI prévoit d'accélérer la commercialisation et la pénétration du marché de la RNGD.
