Jeungpyeong County Women’s Association Council Supports Healthy Growth of Local Youth by Sharing ‘Love Bread’ on School Commutes
The Jeungpyeong County Women’s Association Council has embarked on a heartwarming initiative to support the energetic daily lives of local youth and foster a healthy school culture.
On the 28th, the Council visited the campaign site on the way to school at Jeungpyeong Girls’ Middle School, delivering freshly baked ‘Love Bread’ to all students and offering warm encouragement.
This sharing activity was planned as part of the ‘Love Bread Sharing’ project, which is being promoted as a Women-Friendly City revitalization initiative. The Council is expanding its existing donation activities, centered on childcare centers, to include local youth, fostering a culture where the entire community works together to support the growth of children.
On this day, members handed the carefully prepared Love Bread to students on their way to school in the morning, delivering messages for the prevention of school violence along with words of warm encouragement.
The Love Bread Volunteer Corps is a volunteer group composed of 25 volunteers who have completed the confectionery and baking course at the Jeungpyeong County Women’s College. They have been personally baking bread and cookies every week and delivering them to seven local care centers. After concluding their summer break, they began their volunteer work for the second half of the year in earnest on the 24th.
This activity serves as an exemplary case of talent donation, where women give back to society the skills they acquired through learning. It plays a role in establishing a local culture of sharing and promoting active social participation by women.
Park Myeong-suk, President of the Jeungpyeong County Women's Organizations Council, stated that the "Love Bread" was made with the members' sincerity and support. She emphasized that they will continue to consistently engage in activities that empower youth and neighbors by connecting the fruits of their learning to community sharing.
