[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시와 부산국제매직페스티벌 조직위원회는 오는 26일부터 28일까지 3일간 영화의전당에서 ‘매직 컨벤션’을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 ‘제21회 부산국제매직페스티벌’의 주요 프로그램으로 진행된다.
행사 기간 동안
세계적인 마술사들의 공연을 한자리
에서 만나볼 수 있는 ‘매직갈라쇼’를 비롯해 신인 마술사의 등용문인
‘국제마술대회’
, 프로 마술사들의 노하우를 공유하는
‘매직 렉쳐’,
체험형 부대행사
등 다양한 프로그램이 마련된다. 또한 거리 예술가들이 참여하는
‘제8회 버스킹 챔피언십’
도 함께 열린다.
개막을 알리는
‘매직갈라쇼
’는 화려한 퍼포먼스와 함께 국내외 정상급 마술사들의 무대를 선보인다. 국내 대표 크리에이터 ‘니키’가 사회를 맡으며,
한국, 프랑스, 대만, 말레이시아 등 8명의 마술사가 출연
한다. 특히 SBS 예능 ‘더 매직스타’ 출연자 장해석의 참여로 관심이 더욱 높아지고 있다.
메인 프로그램인 ‘
국제마술대회
’에는
한국, 대만, 일본, 인도네시아 등 4개국에서 본선에 진출한 23명의 신예 마술사가 참가
한다. 이번 대회는 세계마술연맹(FISM)의 승인을 받아 국제 기준에 따라 엄격하게 진행되며, 이탈리아의 도미니코 단테가 심사위원장을 맡는다. 내년 아시아 마술챔피언십 출전권이 걸린 마지막 기회로, 치열한 경쟁이 예상된다.
행사의 마지막은
‘위너쇼’

부대행사도 다양하게 마련된다. 관람객들은 마술 도구를 직접 보고 구매할 수 있는 딜러 부스, 클로즈업 마술 시연, 체험형 이벤트존 등을 통해 마술을 가까이에서 즐길 수 있다.

‘제8회 버스킹 챔피언십’이 무료
로 진행된다. 4개국에서 선발된 10개 팀의 거리 예술가들이 참여해 시민과 관광객들에게 다채로운 공연을 선사할 예정이다.

Busan to Host ‘Magic Convention’ from June 26
Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan International Magic Festival Organizing Committee announced that the “Magic Convention” will be held from June 26 to 28 at the Busan Cinema Center. The event is part of the 21st Busan International Magic Festival.
The convention will feature a wide range of programs, including the “Magic Gala Show,” where audiences can enjoy performances by world-class magicians, the “International Magic Competition” for emerging magicians, and “Magic Lectures” offering professional insights. Various hands-on programs and the 8th Busking Championship will also take place.
The opening highlight, the “Magic Gala Show,” will present dazzling performances by top magicians from Korea and abroad. Korean creator “Nikki” will serve as host, with eight performers from countries including Korea, France, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Notably, Jang Hae-seok, known for appearing on SBS’s entertainment show “The Magic Star,” will also take the stage.
The main event, the “International Magic Competition,” will feature 23 finalists from four countries—Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia. Recognized by the International Federation of Magic Societies (FISM), the competition will be judged under global standards by a panel of experts led by Italian judge Domenico Dante. As the final opportunity to qualify for next year’s FISM Asia Championship, the contest is expected to be highly competitive.
The festival will conclude with the “Winner Show,” a celebratory performance featuring winners of both the International Magic Competition and the Busking Championship. Hosted by former competition winner Do Gi-moon, the show will include rising magicians such as Yang Jae-hyuk, who won first place in the stage category last year.
Additional programs include interactive experiences for visitors, such as dealer booths selling magic props, close-up magic demonstrations, and event zones open to the public.
Meanwhile, the 8th Busking Championship will be held free of charge from June 26 to 27 along Gunam-ro in Haeundae. A total of 10 teams from four countries will perform, offering both residents and tourists a chance to experience street magic and performances up close.
