전남보건환경연구원은 환경부 국립환경과학원이 주관한 ‘2026년 수질 및 폐기물 분야 측정분석 숙련도시험’에서 전 항목 ‘적합’ 판정을 받아 최우수 분석기관으로 인증받았다고 25일 밝혔다.
국가 공인 평가인 ‘숙련도 시험’은 환경 분야 시험·검사기관의 분석 능력 향상과 측정 결과의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 매년 실시된다. 기관의 분석 정확도와 시험수행 능력 등을 종합적으로 검증하는 제도다.
연구원은 이번 평가에서 수질과 폐기물 분야의 전 항목 기준을 완벽하게 충족하며 높은 분석 역량을 선보였다.
구체적으로 수질 분야에서는 생태독성, 금속류 등 16개 항목, 폐기물 분야에서는 유기물질, 금속류 등 6개 항목에서 시료 분석의 정확성과 재현성을 안정적으로 확보해 데이터의 신뢰성을 인정받았다.
연구원은 그동안 데이터 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 매년 국내외 숙련도 평가에 지속적으로 참가해 왔으며, 올해 평가에서도 전 분야 적합 판정을 받는 성과를 거두었다.
이 같은 성과는 시험·검사 결과의 품질 향상을 위해 장비를 지속적으로 점검하고 분석 인력에 대한 교육을 강화한 결과로 풀이된다. 연구원은 현재 표준시험방법 준수 및 품질관리 체계 강화에 힘쓰고 있다.
