(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도는 지난 21일부터 이틀간 여수 베네치아호텔에서 도, 시군, 보건소 관계자 90여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘의료·요양 통합돌봄 워크숍’을 개최하고, 전남광주통합특별시 출범에 대비한 통합돌봄 발전 방안 등을 논의했다고 밝혔다.
이번 워크숍은 지난 3월 27일 의료·요양 통합돌봄이 시범사업을 거쳐 본격 시행됨에 따라 마련됐다. 그동안 애쓴 유공자의 노고를 격려하고 지자체 담당자들의 직무 역량을 강화해, 사업이 현장에 안정적으로 안착하도록 돕겠다는 취지다.
전남도에 따르면 사업 시행 이후 지난 4월 말까지 통합돌봄 서비스를 신청한 도민은 총 2,409명에 달한다. 도는 이 중 2,075명에 대한 현장 방문 조사를 완료했으며, 1,185명에게는 개인별 지원계획에 따른 맞춤형 서비스를 연계했다. 이처럼 통합돌봄 분야에서 두드러진 성과를 거두며 돌봄 사각지대를 해소하는 데 선도적인 역할을 하고 있다는 평가다.
워크숍 첫날인 21일에는 의료·요양 통합돌봄 추진에 기여한 유공기관과 개인에 대한 전남도지사 표창 수여식이 진행됐다.
기관 표창은 ▲국민건강보험공단 광주전라제주지역본부 ▲영광군의사회 ▲완도대성병원 ▲화순군 ▲영암군 ▲완도군 ▲신안군 등 7개 기관이 수상의 영예를 안았으며, 개인 유공자 9명에게도 표창이 수여됐다.
이어 보건복지부의 의료·요양 통합돌봄 정책 방향 설명과 함께, 향후 전남광주통합특별시 출범에비한 통합돌봄 발전 방안을 주제로 심도 있는 논의가 이어졌다.
전남도는 그동안의 시범사업 추진 경험을 바탕으로 지역 실정에 꼭 맞는 통합돌봄 체계를 구축하는 데 힘쓰고 있다. 도 관계자는 "이번 워크숍을 계기로 현장 중심의 실행력을 높이고, 시군 간 협업 체계를 더욱 강화해 나갈 방침"이라고 전했다.
