【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군이 대한노인회 증평군지회 회의실에서 장수노인대학 수강생 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 노인복지 정책과 지역의 역사 및 미래 비전을 공유하는 특강을 실시했다.
이날 현장에서는 증평형 노인복지모델을 포함해 노인 일자리 지원 사업, 성인용 보행기 보급, 경로당 운영 지원 등 현재 군이 집중 추진 중인 주요 어르신 복지 정책들이 상세히 안내됐다. 특히 어르신들이 일상생활 속에서 직접 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 지원 내용과 향후 사업 추진 방향을 차근차근 설명해 참석자들의 높은 이해와 공감을 끌어냈다.
이와 함께 증평의 과거와 현재 모습을 되짚어보며 지역사회가 걸어온 발전 과정과 향후 나아갈 미래 발전상을 어르신들과 함께 공유하는 시간도 가졌다.
특강을 진행한 증평군 관계자는 지금의 증평은 오랜 세월 지역을 지키고 발전시켜 온 어르신들의 헌신과 노고 덕분에 존재한다며, 어르신들이 건강하고 행복한 노후를 보내는 것이 곧 증평의 미래를 더욱 든든하게 만드는 핵심 기반이라고 강조했다. 이어 장수노인대학이 배움과 소통을 통해 새로운 활력을 선사하듯, 증평군 역시 촘촘한 복지와 체계적인 돌봄을 바탕으로 어르신들의 평온한 일상을 최우선으로 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.
