【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군새마을회가 여름철 장령산자연휴양림을 찾는 피서객들을 위해 독서 휴식 공간을 조성하고 환경보호 활동을 전개하는 온기나눔 봉사에 나선다.
옥천군새마을회는 7월 21일부터 8월 20일까지 한 달 동안 장령산자연휴양림 일원에서 피서지문고 및 환경안내소를 통합 운영하며 쾌적하고 성숙한 피서 문화 정착에 앞장선다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 휴양림을 방문한 관광객들에게 편안한 독서 환경을 제공하고, 자연보호와 쓰레기 분리배출 등 환경 의식을 높여 건전한 행락 질서를 확립하기 위해 기획됐다.
피서지문고에는 아동 도서와 소설, 교양서 등 다채로운 분야의 도서 약 2,500권이 비치되어 방문객 누구나 자유롭게 이용할 수 있다. 도서 대여 외에도 구급약품 비치, 튜브 공기 주입, 관광 안내, 미아보호소 운영 등 피서객의 안전과 편의를 돕는 다채로운 지원 서비스가 함께 제공된다.
아울러 운영 기간 동안 일대 환경정화 활동과 음식물쓰레기 줄이기 캠페인을 실시해 탄소중립 실현을 위한 생활 속 실천 활동도 이어갈 방침이다.
