[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시가 지난 12일 외국인주민 및 다문화가족 지원 민·관·학 대표협의체 상반기 정기회의를 개최했다.
이번 회의는 2026년 시흥시 외국인주민 정책 시행계획안을 심의하고 지역 내 이주배경주민을 위한 정책 방향과 기관별 주요 사업을 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.
회의에는 관계기관 실무자와 협의체 위원 등 20여 명이 참석했다. 기존의 일방적인 행정 보고 방식에서 벗어나 각 기관이 현장에서 직접 체감하는 정책 수요를 자유롭게 나누는 소통 중심으로 진행됐다. 참석자들은 이주배경주민의 장기 정주 지원, 아동 및 청소년 지원, 생활 밀집 지역 내 소통과 공존, 통역 수요 확대 등 다양한 현안에 대해 협력 방안을 논의했다.
