[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경남도지사가 인공지능(AI) 시대 여성기업인의 역할을 강조하며 창업부터 자금·판로·인력양성까지 성장 단계별 지원을 강화하겠다고 밝혔다.
박 지사는 21일 창원 그랜드 머큐어 앰배서더에서 열린 한국여성경제인협회 경남지회 창립 27주년 기념식에 참석해 "대한민국이 성장할 수 있었던 것은 기업인들의 도전과 기업가정신 덕분이며, 그 중심에 여성경제인들이 있다"고 말했다.
이어 "경남은 원전과 방산, 조선, 우주항공 등 주력산업을 기반으로 피지컬 AI와 소형모듈원전(SMR), 우주항공, 문화콘텐츠 등 미래산업을 집중 육성할 계획"이라며 "이 과정에서 여성기업인의 역할이 더욱 중요하다"고 강조했다.
박 지사는 여성기업의 창업과 경영, 기술개발, 판로 확대 등 기업 성장 전 과정에 걸쳐 제도적·행정적 지원을 확대하겠다고 밝혔다.
이날 기념식은 '인공지능 시대, 우리 미래'를 주제로 한 특강과 기념식, 여성기업인 표창 수여식 순으로 진행됐다. 지역경제와 여성기업 활성화에 기여한 공로로 김지아 다니엘웰니스의원 대표원장, 김진숙 ㈜영진고속관광 대표이사, 정영자 ㈜예림 대표이사, 최윤정 ㈜보람의일터 대표이사 등 4명이 경남도지사 표창을 받았으며, 모두 19명의 여성기업인이 각종 표창을 수상했다.
1999년 창립한 한국여성경제인협회 경남지회는 여성기업인의 권익 향상과 경쟁력 강화를 위해 창업 지원과 경영교육, 네트워크 구축 등을 추진하고 있다.
경남도는 여성창업지원센터 운영과 소자본 창업교육, 차세대 여성 CEO 양성교육, 중소기업 육성자금 우대, 여성기업제품 공공구매 확대 등을 지원하고 있으며, 앞으로도 AI·디지털 전환과 탄소중립 등 산업환경 변화에 대응할 수 있도록 성장 단계별 맞춤 지원을 확대할 계획이다.

Attending the 27th anniversary ceremony of the Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association held at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Changwon on the 21st, Governor Park stated, "The Republic of Korea has been able to grow thanks to the challenges and entrepreneurial spirit of business leaders, and women entrepreneurs are at the center of this."
He continued, "Based on key industries such as nuclear power, defense, shipbuilding, and aerospace, Gyeongnam plans to intensively foster future industries including physical AI, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), aerospace, and cultural content," emphasizing that "the role of women entrepreneurs is even more critical in this process."
Park Governor Park announced that he would expand institutional and administrative support for women-owned businesses across the entire process of corporate growth, including founding, management, technology development, and market expansion.
The ceremony proceeded in the order of a special lecture themed "The Age of Artificial Intelligence, Our Future," the main ceremony, and an awards presentation for women entrepreneurs.
