Danyang Small Cinema is hosting a free movie screening event to celebrate Children's Day.
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on May 5th and features a variety of programs for families, including free movie screenings, a "no-lose gift draw," and free popcorn giveaways.
The free screenings will take place in Theater 1 (77 seats) and Theater 2 (35 recliner seats).
In Theater 1, the children's movie "Super Mario Galaxy" will be screened three times: at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 4:30 PM. In Theater 2, the family-friendly movie "The Devil Wears Prada 2" will be screened three times: at 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM, and 5:30 PM.
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the outdoor terrace of the Danyang Small Cinema starting 30 minutes before the movie begins. As seating is limited, the event may close early once tickets are sold out.
The "No-Loss Gift Draw" event is open to movie ticket holders and will offer various prizes that children will love, such as figurines and building blocks.
Additionally, a free popcorn giveaway will be provided to the first 500 people regardless of whether they watch a movie, adding to the enjoyment for residents and visitors visiting the cinema on Children's Day.
An official from the Small Cinema stated, "We consider it meaningful to have organized a free movie screening event for families to enjoy together in celebration of Children's Day," adding, "We will continue to expand various cultural programs so that residents can create happy memories at the cinema." Meanwhile, Danyang Small Cinema, which opened in July 2024, is a cultural space equipped with state-of-the-art screening facilities featuring a total of two screens and 112 seats. It is loved by both local residents and tourists for providing reasonable admission fees and a pleasant viewing environment.
