[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시가 오는 7월 4일부터 지역 내 16개 해수욕장을 일제히 개장하고 여름철 피서객 맞이에 나선다.

개장 기간은 7월 4일부터 8월 23일까지 51일간이다. 운영시간은 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지이며, 성수기인 7월 25일부터 8월 9일까지는 오후 7시까지 연장 운영한다.

올해도 명사해수욕장은 반려동물 동반이 가능한 특화 해수욕장으로 운영된다. 와현모래숲해변은 보행약자 편의를 위해 백사장 일부에 특수매트를 설치하고 수상휠체어 무료 대여 서비스를 제공한다.

거제시는 해수욕장 개장을 앞두고 23일 운영계획 보고회를 열어 안전관리와 편의시설, 물가안정 대책 등을 점검했다.

보고회에는 관계 부서와 외식업·숙박업 단체, 해수욕장 운영위원회 관계자들이 참석해 식품·숙박업소 점검, 재난상황실 운영, 폐기물 처리, 바가지요금 근절 방안 등을 논의했다.

시는 개장 기간 동안 이용객 안전 확보와 쾌적한 환경 조성을 위해 수영 가능 시간 외 입수 금지, 지정 해수욕장 외 반려동물 출입 제한, 낚시·취사·야영 금지, 몽돌·모래 채취 금지 등의 준수사항을 안내할 계획이다.
