MUSINSA Bets Big on Seongsu With 6,600‑Square‑Meter "Stay-and-Play" Me...

Korea's largest single-location fashion & beauty store aims to be a hangout, not just a shop.

Curated by theme across five floors, from pop‑ups and K‑beauty to sports, food, and karaoke

MUSINSA has opened "Musinsa Megastore Seongsu," a 6,600‑square‑meter (about 2,000‑pyeong) multi‑brand flagship in Seoul's Seongsu district. This turns one of Korea's hottest neighborhoods into its largest offline experiment to date. The space spans one basement level and four above‑ground floors. It houses around 1,000 brands, from local designer labels to global sportswear names, all arranged to encourage visitors to linger rather than just browse and leave.

The store is organized by category and experience instead of by brand. On the ground floor, curved shop‑in‑shop structures host rotating labels every three months, starting with women's designer brands like Glowny and LOW CLASSIC. A separate collaboration‑focused pop‑up zone is near the entrance. The overall first impression is closer to an exhibition hall than a conventional fashion floor, with flexible fixtures built for constant refresh.

The basement level focuses on experience‑driven content. A "Musing‑sa" pop‑up and coin karaoke booths let visitors sing, be recorded, and share content, blending retail with light entertainment. On the same level, global sports brands like Nike and Adidas sit next to unisex and work‑and‑formal sections. Some shop‑in‑shops also rotate every three months. Most areas have self‑checkout and on‑the‑spot tax refund facilities to streamline transactions for locals and tourists.

The second floor targets women's fashion, accessories, and beauty. A new eyewear zone expands styling options, while a roughly 480‑square‑meter (about 150‑pyeong) beauty section brings together more than 700 brands and over 7,000 SKUs across fragrance, skincare, and makeup. Interactive touchpoints include a beauty "gacha" event for shoppers who spend above a threshold, a welcome‑gift machine for global members, and an offline ranking zone that mirrors Musinsa's online best‑sellers. An in‑store lens shop staffed by an optician offers eye exams and prescription services, and a wash‑bar area lets customers test hair and body products on the spot.

The third floor is dedicated to Musinsa Standard, the company's in‑house basics label. Men's, women's, home, and beauty lines are all grouped here, with special zoning for categories such as seamless bras. An "easy pick" zone near the checkout highlights small-item add-ons, including some limited‑inventory pieces reserved for this store. Selected F&B collaborations, such as LocknLock‑branded items and a gimbap pop‑up, are also woven into the floor.

On the fourth floor, sports and experience come together. A uniform‑marking service allows customers to add names and numbers to purchased jerseys on site, with the program rotating through different sports by season. A dedicated running zone brings together brands like Saucony, Brooks, and Mizuno, while a rooftop‑style food garden anchors coffee, pizza, and dessert outlets, some operating as short‑term pop‑ups. Taken together, the store is designed around a "shop → experience → stay" flow, extending MUSINSA's online curation power into an offline playground and positioning Seongsu as a new landmark for global K‑fashion visitors.
