KBIOHealth Conducts Environmental Cleanup and Water Quality Improvement Activities at Osong Lake Park

The Osong Advanced Medical Industry Promotion Foundation (KBIOHealth) carried out comprehensive cleanup activities in the area surrounding Osong Lake Park and Yeonje Reservoir to preserve the local environment and improve water quality.

Approximately 30 employees participated in this cleanup effort, including representatives from KBIOHealth, public institutions affiliated with the Osong Social Responsibility Council, and the Cheongju Branch of the Korea Rural Community Corporation. Participants joined forces to address local environmental issues by collecting various types of household waste and floating debris that had flowed into the waterfront due to heavy rainfall.

Specialized activities designed to enhance water purification were also conducted. Participants introduced EM mud balls, made by combining beneficial microorganisms and red clay, into Yeonje Reservoir to restore the aquatic ecosystem and eliminate foul odors.

Strict safety management was also ensured for the outdoor work. KBIOHealth conducted safety education to prevent heat-related illnesses that may occur during outdoor activities in the heatwave, and simultaneously carried out a safety campaign encouraging hydration and rest.

This activity was driven by the voluntary participation of the in-house volunteer group "Osong Damda" and club members, and is recognized for presenting a collaborative social contribution model among local public institutions.

Ha Jae-sang, Head of KBIOHealth, emphasized the significance of directly tending to the local environment and the joint efforts of various institutions to resolve local issues. He stated that they will continue mutually beneficial activities for environmental preservation and the creation of social value, while prioritizing safety.
