New smartwatch lineup offers up to 21-day battery life and improved navigation with Huawei’s upgraded Sunflower Positioning System

Huawei Korea announced that it will officially launch the smartwatch ‘HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series’ in Korea on May 6, featuring enhanced battery performance and sports-tracking functions.
The new lineup is equipped with a battery that can be used for up to 21 days on a single charge. It can be used without the burden of charging not only in everyday life but also during travel or long outdoor activities, and user convenience has been improved through more sophisticated navigation functions. In particular, Huawei’s upgraded ‘Sunflower Positioning System’ improves location-measurement accuracy by 20% compared to the previous model.
The top model in the series, ‘HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro,’ offers professional-grade on-field support functions for golf enthusiasts. Based on maps of more than 17,000 golf courses worldwide, it provides course coverage of about 95% for golf courses in Korea. Users can check, in real time, information such as green slopes and distances to hazards through high-precision vector maps that include data for more than 450 golf courses in Korea, and the device features an ultra-high-brightness display of around 3,000 nits, enabling clear viewing of data even under strong sunlight.
In addition, the Pro model has been reborn with a more refined sensibility while inheriting the GT series’ signature octagonal design. Sharper edges than the previous model and a strong, masculine silhouette stand out, and it secures robust durability by adopting a sapphire-glass display and an aerospace-grade titanium-alloy body.

Both models in the ‘HUAWEI WATCH GT 6’ series will be released in a single 46mm size. The standard model comes in two colors—black and gray—while the Pro model is offered in two colors—black and brown—broadening consumer choice. In addition, both products maintain high compatibility with iOS and Android operating systems. Huawei will also introduce the ‘HONMA x HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Pro’ edition, created in collaboration with the premium golf brand HONMA.
