Global construction project management (PM) company HanmiGlobal announced on May 11 that it has signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement (SAA) with ‘AtkinsRealis,’ a Canadian comprehensive engineering company, for the joint pursuit of projects in the industrial plant, renewable energy, and nuclear power sectors in the United States.
AtkinsRealis is a world-renowned engineering and nuclear specialist company headquartered in Canada, with over 40,000 employees in about 50 countries. It was ranked No. 1 in the global CM∙PM category, excluding US companies, in the ‘2025 ENR Top International Survey’ published last year by the US construction trade magazine ENR.
Through this agreement, HanmiGlobal and AtkinsRealis have agreed to cooperate closely from project discovery to proposal, contract acquisition, and execution. The scope of cooperation includes construction project management (PM), design and engineering, design review, local permitting and licensing consulting, and environmental impact assessments.
The two companies will initially engage in joint bidding activities, primarily targeting projects such as the development of nuclear power and renewable energy complexes in the US pursued by Korean companies. Furthermore, they plan to establish a working-level committee to facilitate regular information exchange in the future.
Kim Yong-sik, President of the Business Division at HanmiGlobal, stated, “We expect that our opportunities to win new projects in the US market will expand through this cooperation with a world-class PM company.”
