Ecopro said in a regulatory filing on May 7 that it had been notified by the Fair Trade Commission that it does not qualify as a holding company under the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act.
The company said it filed a report with the Fair Trade Commission seeking exclusion from the application of holding company regulations under the Fair Trade Act because, as of December 31, 2025, it did not meet the requirements for a holding company under the Act.
It said the reason for the exclusion was that, following the disposal of shares in subsidiaries it owned, the ratio of the value of subsidiary shares to total assets fell below 50%.
However, Ecopro still holds stakes in major subsidiaries. Its current ownership stakes are 100% in Ecologistics, 41.2% in Ecopro Materials, 40.8% in Ecopro BM, 46.7% in Ecopro CNG, 31.1% in Ecopro HN, 90.4% in Ecopro AP, and 83.9% in Ecopro Innovation.
