The ‘CKD Pharm Golden Ticket’ is a sponsorship program hosted by Chong Kun Dang and joined by LabCentral, a core institution of the Boston Cambridge bio cluster. It provides promising bio startups with opportunities to move into LabCentral and supports the formation of global networks and strategic cooperation, and it is developing into a global open innovation platform that preemptively discovers early-stage innovative technologies.
Arpelos Biosciences, which was selected this time, is an early-stage biotech company founded in 2024 and is based in Kendall Square, USA. It possesses AI-based protein engineering, T cell biology, and multivalent therapeutic development technologies as its core technologies, and it aims to develop next-generation autoimmune disease therapeutics.
About 50 bio startups with innovative technologies in various fields such as immunology, neuroscience, oncology and cancer immunotherapy, ophthalmology, and AI-based research platforms applied for this year’s event. With Harvard University Professor Park Jin-mo and Professor Kim Young-bum, and Dr. Debra Peattie participating as external judges, three bio startups based in Boston were selected as final candidates and competed by presenting their research achievements and technological prowess.
An official from Chong Kun Dang said, “The CKD Pharm Golden Ticket is an important channel for preemptively discovering promising early-stage biotech companies in Boston, the center of global open innovation,” and added, “We will continue to expand our network with global pharmaceutical companies and startups centered on CKD USA, and focus our capabilities on creating practical collaboration outcomes such as joint research and development.”
