Banking Circle Expands Stablecoin Services After Regulatory Approval

Banking Circle

Luxembourg-based Banking Circle has launched new stablecoin settlement services following approval from the country’s financial regulator. The firm recently secured a Crypto Asset Service Provider license, allowing it to offer regulated conversions between fiat currencies and stablecoins for institutional clients.

The rollout includes support for major digital currencies such as USDC issued by Circle, Paxos’ USDG and the company’s own euro-backed token EURI. This expansion builds on its earlier entry into the market with EURI, positioning the firm within Europe’s evolving regulatory framework under MiCA.

Banking Circle processes more than 1.5 trillion euros annually across its network, serving hundreds of financial institutions and payment providers. The addition of stablecoin settlement is expected to reduce transaction costs and improve efficiency in cross-border payments.
