[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시는 5월 7일부터 10월 9일까지 병점역 광장에서 공공미술 프로젝트인 야외 조각전 도심의 숨결을 진행한다.
이번 전시는 삭막한 도심 공간에 예술적 생명력을 더해 시민들이 일상에서 자연스럽게 현대 조각을 감상할 수 있도록 기획됐다. 강민기, 김대성 등 국내외에서 활동하는 작가 10인이 참여해 동심과 성장 및 자연을 주제로 한 대형 조각 작품 10점을 선보인다.
공공미술이란 대중에게 공개된 장소에 설치되어 누구나 자유롭게 향유할 수 있는 예술 작품을 의미한다.
7일 오후 5시에는 작가가 직접 작품을 설명하는 도슨트 투어와 공연 등 개막 행사가 열린다. 관람객들은 별도의 절차 없이 광장 곳곳에 설치된 작품을 감상하며 예술과 소통할 수 있다.
