[Break News Gyeonggi South = Reporter Lee Hyun-jun, Hwaseong] In celebration of Youth Month, Hwaseong Special City will host the 2026 Hwaseong Special City Youth Festival, <Cheonggye Man-gae>, starting at 1:00 PM on the 16th.
This festival holds special significance as it was created autonomously by youths who participated directly from the planning stage.
A unique feature is that experience booths have been arranged by district to coincide with the launch of Hwaseong Special City's four districts. Through this, the city plans to encourage balanced participation across regions and raise public awareness regarding the establishment of the four districts. Additionally, the number of experience booths and the event area have been expanded compared to last year to ensure visitors can enjoy the programs in a more comfortable environment.
The event schedule begins with a Youth Month commemorative ceremony at 1:30 PM, followed by a variety of performances including youth dance, band, and vocal performances. In particular, a special guest performance by popular singer Mirani is scheduled for 5:30 PM, which is expected to bring the festival atmosphere to its peak.
Various spaces, including a photo zone, beanbag and picnic zone, experience booths, and event zone, will be created at the artificial turf field in Dongtan Central Park. Food trucks and dining areas will be set up at the musical fountain plaza to enhance visitor convenience.
