함평군은 축제의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화와 국제적 인지도 제고를 위해 중국 사천성 청두시 피두구와 축제 교류 사업을 추진하고, 이번 축제 기간 중 다양한 국제 교류 프로그램을 운영하고 있다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 교류는 함평군의 ‘함평나비대축제’와 중국 피두구의 대표 행사인 ‘나비촌 유채꽃축제’ 간의 상호 협력을 바탕으로 기획되었다. 특히 올해는 펑츠샹 청두 촉도천채산업발전그룹 회장을 단장으로 한 피두구 교류단이 직접 함평을 찾아 축제의 열기를 더했다.
