[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함안군은 지난 8일부터 10일까지 칠서생태공원 일원에서 열린 ‘제4회 칠서 생태공원 청보리·작약 축제’가 14만여명의 관광객이 찾은 가운데 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.
이번 축제에는 함안군 관광두레와 그린투어협의회 등 지역 관광 주민조직이 참여해 홍보부스와 체험 프로그램을 운영하며 관광객들에게 다양한 관광 콘텐츠를 선보였다.
행사장에는 농특산물 판매부스와 먹거리 공간, 문화공연, 포토존 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련돼 관광객 체류시간 확대와 지역경제 활성화에도 도움이 됐다는 평가를 받았다.
특히 축제 대표 프로그램으로 자리 잡은 ‘꽃단지 관람열차’에는 약 6만 명이 탑승했다. 관람객들은 열차를 타고 청보리밭과 작약 군락지를 둘러보며 축제장을 편리하게 관람했다.
함안군은 임시주차장 확보와 안전관리 요원 확대 배치, 드론을 활용한 실시간 교통 관리 등을 통해 많은 인파 속에서도 큰 안전사고 없이 행사를 운영했다고 설명했다.
함안군 관계자는 “관광객 편의와 안전관리에 중점을 두고 축제를 준비한 결과 많은 방문객들이 쾌적하게 축제를 즐길 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 칠서생태공원 축제를 함안을 대표하는 봄철 관광축제로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 칠서생태공원 청보리·작약축제는 2024년 6만 명, 2025년 13만5000명에 이어 올해 14만1000명의 관광객이 방문하며 성장세를 이어가고 있다.
