[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 준공 50년을 맞은 창원국가산업단지 를 ‘피지컬 AI 기반 미래형 첨단산단’으로 전환하는 10년 장기 청사진을 내놨다.
경남도는 27일 ‘창원국가산단 구조고도화계획(2026~2035)’ 최종보고회와 브리핑을 열고, AI·디지털 기반 제조혁신과 산업·공간 재편 전략을 발표했다.
이번 계획은 2024년 법령 개정으로 산업단지 구조고도화계획 수립 권한이 시·도로 이양된 이후 경남도가 처음 자체 수립한 마스터플랜이다.
핵심은 제조 현장에서 직접 판단·작동하는 ‘피지컬 AI(Physical AI)’를 기존 기계·방산·원전 산업에 접목해 국가 제조전환 거점으로 육성하는 것이다.
경남도는 ▲지능형 기계 ▲첨단 방산 ▲원자력 주기기를 3대 전략산업으로 설정하고 ▲스마트 전기·전자 ▲수소에너지·디지털 산업을 연계한 ‘3+2 산업구조 재편’을 추진한다.
또 산단 공간을 제조혁신핵심·연구혁신·방산특화·기업지원·관광문화 등 5대 특화지구로 재편해 산업과 도시 기능을 동시에 고도화할 계획이다.
도는 2035년까지 총 1조8589억 원을 투입해 10대 핵심사업을 단계적으로 추진한다. 주요 사업에는 ▲산업혁신파크 ▲스마트 복합물류타운 ▲R&D 코리빙 복합시설 ▲전략산업 집적단지 ▲ICT 기반 유니콘밸리 조성 등이 포함됐다.
경남도는 이번 계획을 통해 2035년 생산액 100조 원, 수출 300억 달러, 고용 13만 명 달성을 목표로 제시했다.
특히 기존 기계업 중심의 산업 편중 구조를 AI·로봇·수소·미래모빌리티 중심으로 다변화해 글로벌 제조 경쟁력을 확보한다는 전략이다.
