증평군장애인연합회가 주관한 이번 기념식은 ‘당연한 일상, 모두가 누릴 수 있도록’이라는 슬로건 아래 지역 장애인과 가족, 주민 등 500여 명이 참석해 의미를 더했다.
행사는 3부에 걸쳐 진행됐다.
1부에서는 발달장애인 공연팀과 증평아리아예술단의 장구 연주, 증평초록연합합창단의 공연이 이어지며 큰 호응을 얻었다.
2부에서는 장애인 인권 헌장을 낭독하며 서로의 권리를 되새겼고, 복지 현장에서 묵묵히 헌신해 온 방인혜 주무관과 신서현 사회복지사 등 9명에게 표창과 감사장이 수여됐다.
이와 함께 배움의 열정을 이어가는 장애 학생 2명에게 장학금이 전달됐다.
마지막 3부에서는 축제 분위기를 더하는 화합의 장이 펼쳐졌다.
지역가수 공연과 다양한 장기자랑, 경품추첨이 이어지며 참석자들에게 즐거움을 선사했다.
연영찬 회장은 “서로의 다름을 있는 그대로 마주하고 오늘처럼 편안하게 웃을 수 있는 이웃이 되길 소망한다”고 마음을 전했다.
