전남교육청과 전남도는 지난 26일부터 27일까지 이틀간 경상남도 남해와 진주 일원에서 ‘교육청-지자체 교육협력사업 공유회’를 공동 개최했다. 이번 행사는 전남 교육발전특구가 지역과 공생하는 교육 생태계로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 교육청과 지자체 간의 견고한 협력 체계를 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 공유회에는 전남교육청 및 전라남도 관계자, 각 시·군 교육지원청 장학사, 지자체 교육협력 담당자 등 50여 명이 참석해 뜨거운 관심을 보였다.
참석자들은 지역 맞춤형 돌봄과 지역 산업을 연계한 교육 사례를 직접 확인하며 전남 교육발전특구의 운영 방향을 구체화하는 데 집중했다.
남해 해양초등학교의 ‘아이빛터’**를 방문해 지자체와 교육청이 협력한 돌봄 모델을 살폈으며, 진주 공군항공과학고등학교에서는 지역 전략 산업과 연계한 특성화고 교육과정 운영 사례를 견학했다.
또한, 전남 AI 산업 정책 방향에 대한 특강과 지역별 교육 혁신 성과를 공유하며, 타 시·도의 우수 사례를 전남 실정에 맞게 적용하기 위한 구체적인 정책 확산 방안을 논의했다.
이번 공유회는 전남의 특색을 살린 교육발전특구 운영 방향을 구체화하고, 기관 간의 칸막이를 허물어 학생 중심의 교육 환경을 조성하는 계기가 되었다는 평가다.
김종만 전남교육청 학령인구정책과장은 “이번 자리는 교육청과 지자체가 교육발전특구의 성공이라는 공동 목표를 확인하고 방향을 구체화한 의미 있는 시간이었다”며 “앞으로도 현장 중심의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 전남의 교육 생태계를 안정적으로 구축하고 지역 인재 양성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
