[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 의령군이 ‘2026 국가대표브랜드 대상’ 청년정책 부문 대상을 수상하며 2년 연속 전국 단위 청년정책 우수 지자체로 선정됐다.

군은 지난 15일 서울 앰배서더 풀만 호텔에서 열린 시상식에서 청년 수요를 반영한 실효성 있는 정책 추진과 정착 지원 성과를 인정받아 지난해에 이어 다시 대상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 시상식은 매경미디어그룹이 주최하고 산업통상자원부·과학기술정보통신부·농림축산식품부가 후원했다.

의령군은 ‘의령 청년 희망 프로젝트’를 중심으로 주거·일자리·문화·생활 지원을 연계한 청년정책을 추진하고 있다. 특히 지난 1월 입주를 완료한 ‘도란도란 청년하우스’는 보증금 100만 원, 월 임대료 4만 원 수준의 저렴한 조건으로 청년층 주거 부담 완화에 나섰다.

또 신혼부부 맞춤형 ‘알콩달콩 청년하우스’ 조성과 함께 올해 착공한 100세대 규모 청년임대아파트를 통해 청년과 기업 근로자 정착 기반 확대에도 힘을 쏟고 있다.

단기 체류형 공간을 활용한 ‘의령 한 달 살아보기’ 사업과 청년센터 ‘청춘만개’ 운영도 청년 유입과 지역 활동 활성화 정책으로 추진 중이다.

이와 함께 운전면허 취득비, 중고차 구입비, 시험 응시료, 이사비 지원 등 생활밀착형 지원사업을 확대하고 있으며, 올해는 청년 소상공인 점포 임차료 지원과 창업 지원 확대 정책도 새롭게 도입했다.
