우수 농산물 직거래사업장 인증은 농산물 직거래 분야의 우수 기준을 충족한 사업장을 선별 및 인증해 안전한 먹거리 유통 체계를 확립하고 직거래 활성화를 이끌기 위해 지난 2017년부터 시행 중인 제도다.
옥천로컬푸드직매장은 2022년 첫 인증을 획득한 이후 실시된 이번 갱신 심사에서 지역 농산물 취급 비중과 생산자 관리, 생산정보 표시, 안전성 검사 관리 등 제반 항목 전반에서 뛰어난 점수를 받았다. 이로써 전국 59개 우수 농산물 직거래사업장 가운데 충청북도에서는 유일하게 인증 지위를 유지하는 성과를 거뒀다.
지난 2019년 5월 문을 연 옥천로컬푸드직매장은 지역 농가에는 안정적인 판로를 선사하고 군민에게는 신선하고 안전한 먹거리를 공급하며 지역 먹거리 선순환의 거점 역할을 해왔다.
