옥천군은 27일 농산물산지유통센터(APC)에서 옥천복숭아수출영농조합법인과 함께 ‘옥천 복숭아 홍콩 수출 선적식’을 열고 홍콩으로의 첫 수출 물량을 출하했다. 이날 선적식에는 지자체 및 의회 관계자, 지역 농협과 영농조합법인 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석해 성공적인 해외 진출을 기원했다.
행사에 앞서 관계자들은 APC 공동선별 작업장을 방문해 폭염 속에서도 품질 선별 작업에 매진하고 있는 현장 인력들을 격려했다.
이번에 홍콩 수출길에 오른 물량은 1.8kg 규격 기준 384상자, 총 691.2kg 규모다. 수출물량은 농업회사법인 한국한인홍을 통해 홍콩 현지 대형마트에 유통될 예정이며, 현지 소비자 선호도가 높은 고당도 품종인 '그레이트'를 중심으로 선정해 품질 우수성을 알릴 계획이다.
옥천복숭아수출영농조합법인은 지난 2017년 홍콩 시장에 처음 출사표를 던진 이후 매년 수출을 이어오며 판로를 꾸준히 확대해 왔다. 법인은 올해 총 10톤 수출을 목표로 해외 마케팅 및 공급에 집중할 방침이다.
