영동군은 25일 노근리평화공원 위령탑 일원에서 ‘제76주기(제28회) 노근리사건희생자 합동위령행사’를 개최했다.
(사)노근리사건희생자유족회가 주최한 이번 행사에는 유가족을 비롯해 정부 및 지자체 관계자, 유관 기관 단체장, 지역 주민들이 참석해 희생자들의 영면을 기원했다.
추모식은 난계국악단의 식전 공연을 시작으로 묵념, 추모 공연, 헌화 및 분향, 위령사와 추모사 순으로 엄숙하게 진행됐다. 참석자들은 위령탑에 국화를 바치며 희생자들의 넋을 어루만지고 전쟁의 아픔과 생명·인권의 소중함을 다짐했다.
