와 협력해 부산 스타트업들의 북미 시장 진출과 글로벌 투자 유치 확대에 힘을 싣는다. 부산광역시와 함께 추진 중인 글로벌 진출 프로그램 ‘Plug in: SV(Silicon Valley)’의 일환으로 부산 스타트업 10개사가 미국 실리콘밸리에서 열린 ‘Silicon Valley Summit 2026’에 참가했다.
이번 행사는 현지시간 기준 5월 19일부터 21일까지 미국 캘리포니아 서니베일 Plug and Play Tech Center에서 진행됐다. AI, 모빌리티, 에너지, 스마트물류, 지속가능성 등 17개 산업 분야를 중심으로 글로벌 기업과 투자사, 스타트업 관계자 약 3,100명이 참석했다.
부산 참가기업들은 에너지·AI·스마트물류·모빌리티·딥테크 분야 전시·상담 부스 운영과 함께 글로벌 투자자 및 대기업 관계자들과 1:1 밋업, 네트워킹 프로그램에 참여했다.

는 Plug and Play 측 사전 심사를 거쳐 공식 피칭 세션 참가기업으로 선정됐다.
공식 피칭은 총 18개사만 참여 가능한 세션으로, 글로벌 투자자와 오픈이노베이션 담당자를 대상으로 기업 발표를 진행하는 프로그램이다. 현장에서는 투자 검토와 사업 협력 가능성에 대한 후속 논의도 이어질 것으로 기대된다.
부산 참가기업들은 행사 전부터 실리콘밸리 시장 이해와 투자 전략, 목표 설정 멘토링, Plug and Play 오피스아워 등 사전 액셀러레이팅 프로그램도 진행했다. 또한 개막 전날에는 글로벌 기업 방문과 VC·스타트업 네트워킹 프로그램에도 참여하며 현지 생태계와 접점을 확대했다.
행사 기간 중에는 기술보증기금 실리콘밸리지점과 한미은행이 참여하는 현지 세션도 운영됐다. 참가기업들은 미국 현지 금융·투자 환경과 사업 운영 관련 정보를 공유받고 현지 네트워크 구축 기회도 가졌다.
부산창경 김용우 대표는 “부산 스타트업들이 단순한 해외 행사 참가를 넘어 실리콘밸리의 개방적이고 도전적인 스타트업 문화를 직접 경험하길 기대한다”며 “실리콘밸리 혁신 생태계의 DNA가 부산 스타트업들의 글로벌 성장 동력으로 이어질 수 있도록 지속 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

“Busan Startups Heading for Silicon Valley”… Busan Creative Economy Expands North American Investment and Open Innovation

Plug
and Play to support Busan startups in entering the North American market and expanding their attraction of global investment. As part of the global expansion program 'Plug in: SV (Silicon Valley),' which is being promoted in partnership with Busan Metropolitan City, 10 Busan startups participated in the 'Silicon Valley Summit 2026' held in Silicon Valley, USA.
The event took place from May 19 to 21 (local time) at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California, USA. Approximately 3,100 representatives from global companies, investors, and startups attended, focusing on 17 industry sectors including AI, mobility, energy, smart logistics, and sustainability.
Participating companies from Busan operated exhibition and consultation booths in the fields of energy, AI, smart logistics, mobility, and deep tech, and also participated in 1:1 meetups and networking programs with global investors and officials from large corporations.

Busan startups that took the official pitching stage

were selected as participants for the official pitching session after undergoing a preliminary screening by Plug and Play.
The official pitching session is a program in which companies present to global investors and open innovation managers, with participation limited to a total of 18 firms. Follow-up discussions regarding investment reviews and potential business collaborations are also expected to take place on-site.
Participating companies from Busan also conducted pre-event acceleration programs prior to the event, including mentoring on understanding the Silicon Valley market, investment strategies, and goal setting, as well as Plug and Play office hours. Additionally, on the day before the opening, they expanded their engagement with the local ecosystem by visiting global companies and participating in VC and startup networking programs.
During the event, local sessions were also held with the participation of the Korea Technology Guarantee Fund Silicon Valley Branch and Hanmi Bank. Participating companies received information on the local U.S. financial and investment environment and business operations, and had the opportunity to build local networks.
Kim Yong-woo, CEO of Busan Changgyeong, said, “I hope that Busan startups will go beyond simply participating in overseas events and directly experience Silicon Valley’s open and challenging startup culture,” adding, “We will continue to provide support so that the DNA of Silicon Valley’s innovation ecosystem can serve as a driving force for the global growth of Busan startups.”

公式ピッチングは合計18社のみ参加可能なセッションで、グローバル投資家とオープンイノベーション担当者を対象に企業発表を進めるプログラムだ。現場では投資検討と事業協力の可能性に関する後続の議論も続くものと期待される。
釜山の参加企業はイベント前からシリコンバレー市場の理解と投資戦略、目標設定メンタリング、Plug and Playオフィスアワーなどの事前アクセラレーティングプログラムも行った。また開幕前日にはグローバル企業訪問やVC・スタートアップネットワーキングプログラムにも参加し、現地の生態系と接点を拡大した。
イベント期間中は技術保証基金シリコンバレー支店と韓米銀行が参加する現地セッションも運営された。参加企業は米国現地金融・投資環境と事業運営関連情報を共有され、現地ネットワーク構築の機会も持った。
釜山昌慶キム・ヨンウ代表は「釜山スタートアップが単純な海外行事参加を超えてシリコンバレーの開放的で挑戦的なスタートアップ文化を直接経験することを期待する」とし「シリコンバレー革新生態系のDNAが釜山スタートアップのグローバル成長動力につながるように持続支援する」と話した。

釜山昌庆公司首席执行官金容宇表示：“我希望釜山的创业公司能够超越仅仅参加海外活动，直接体验硅谷开放且充满挑战的创业文化。”他补充道：“我们将继续提供支持，使硅谷创新生态系统的DNA能够成为釜山创业公司全球发展的驱动力。”

La participation est limitée à 18 entreprises. Des discussions de suivi concernant l'évaluation des investissements et les collaborations commerciales potentielles devraient également avoir lieu sur place.
Les entreprises participantes de Busan ont également organisé des programmes d'accélération en amont de l'événement, comprenant du mentorat sur la compréhension du marché de la Silicon Valley, les stratégies d'investissement et la définition d'objectifs, ainsi que des permanences d'information. De plus, la veille de l'ouverture, elles ont renforcé leurs liens avec l'écosystème local en visitant des entreprises internationales et en participant à des programmes de réseautage pour les investisseurs en capital-risque et les startups.
Lors de cet événement, des sessions locales ont également été organisées avec la participation de la branche Silicon Valley du Fonds coréen de garantie technologique et de la banque Hanmi. Les entreprises participantes ont reçu des informations sur l'environnement financier et d'investissement local aux États-Unis, ainsi que sur les opérations commerciales, et ont eu l'occasion de développer leurs réseaux locaux.
