[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 고성군이 교통약자의 이동 편의 향상을 위해 바우처택시 운영 규모를 기존 12대에서 25대로 확대하고 오는 14일부터 확대된 서비스를 운영한다.
군은 교통약자 이동지원 서비스 이용 수요 증가에 대응하기 위해 지난 6월 바우처택시 13대를 추가 모집해 총 25대 체계를 구축했다고 10일 밝혔다. 이번 증차로 비휠체어 이용 교통약자의 배차 대기시간이 단축되고 이동 접근성이 개선될 것으로 기대된다.
고성군은 확대 운영에 앞서 바우처택시 운수사업자와 협약을 마쳤으며, 운행 준비를 완료했다.
또 원활한 서비스 제공을 위해 10일 도시재생 성내지구 마을꿈터에서 운수종사자를 대상으로 친절·안전교육과 운영시스템 교육을 실시했다. 교육에서는 전용 앱 호출과 배차 처리, 통신단말기 사용법, 교통약자 응대 요령 등을 중심으로 실습이 진행됐다.
군은 앞으로도 정기적인 교육을 통해 서비스 품질과 안전성을 높이고 이용자 만족도를 지속적으로 관리할 계획이다.
바우처택시는 특별교통수단 이용 대상자 가운데 비휠체어 이용 교통약자를 위해 일반택시를 활용하는 이동지원 서비스다. 중증 보행장애인과 전문의 진단으로 대중교통 이용이 어려운 65세 이상 고령자, 임산부 등이 이용 대상이다.
